The project

Timna Ramon International Airport is an international airport in Timna Valley in southern Israel. It replaces the old Eilat airport located in the centre of the city, serving as a support to Israel’s main airport, Ben Gurion. The airport is located 18km north of Eilat. It has a 3.600m long track, longer than the old one in the previous airport. The move from the centre is part of a larger plan to develop the city of Eilat, and is necessary for the additional construction of new hotels along the coast and hence for its total tourist development.
